My sister told me a story once about riding in the car with a photographer looking for the shoot location and he decided to cut through a park in Rome. Apparently, vehicle traffic was not allowed in this area. The Carabinieri sitting on his motorcycle sees them, pointed at the driver and then pointed to the side of the road they were on, well apparently the driver didn't do it fast enough. As my sister watched out the back window, the officer raised his automatic rifle and was going to shoot their car. The driver stopped. I have no idea why that might be effective...
