That Whole "WMD" Thing

Iraq's WMD Secreted in Syria, Sada Says - Former number two man in the Iraqi Air Force says that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction were loaded onto passenger planes and moved to Syria before the war began. The only part of this that should be a revelation is the part about using commercial style aircraft. We knew he had them at one time, and we know Syria is not exactly friendly towards the US, so I think that what Sada is claiming is not only plausible, but more than likely very probable. It will be interesting to see if this gets any more attention.

Moving WMD on aircraft is a new one on me. I have heard/read that the Soviets probably helped the Iraqi's move WMD into Syria. Have also read that Iraqi forces may have dumped quite a bit of material into the rivers. Interestingly when we (the US) were requesting U-2 overflights Saddam flatly stated that those flights would be shot down. Which leads me to believe that the Iraqi's were certainly moving material during periods when they knew that satellites would not be overhead. Too bad the SR-71 is retired. Just additional food for thought.
